Greeley cop log: Caller reports ex selling his stuff on Facebook; man breaks in to steal sweater

EDITOR’S NOTE: The following is a summary of crime reports taken from the Greeley Police Department’s daily logs. Only a few of the hundreds of reports will be used in this weekly column because of space limitations.

May 28

1 p.m.: A caller in the 1800 block of 16th Street reported a patient came to the hospital with a throwing star.

7:30 p.m.: A caller in the 400 block of 35th Avenue reported a man walking around the neighborhood with a rifle.

9:30 p.m.: A caller at apartments in the 1700 block of 31st Street Road reported a shirtless, intoxicated man who was stumbling down the hallway was knocking at the door and trying to get inside.

10:30 p.m.: A caller at a convenience store in the 6500 block of 29th Street reported at least 10 people were loitering at the store for about an hour.

May 29

12 p.m.: A man in the 1100 block of 37th Street reported his ex was selling his items on Facebook Marketplace, including his lawn mower.

2:45 p.m.: A man in the 200 block of 21st Street Road reported a neighbor was blaring music and throwing eggs at the caller’s house.

3:30 p.m.: A caller in the 700 block of 16th Street reported an intoxicated man came into the business with a bag full of alcoholic shooters.

4 p.m.: A caller in the 6900 block of 19th Street reported a man purposely threw the caller’s $300 sunglasses.

10:45 p.m.: A caller in the 6900 block of 3rd Street reported people were having a party at the condo’s pool, which was closed.

May 30

6:15 a.m.: A caller in the 6800 block of 10th Street reported a skunk went into a building.

10:30 a.m.: A caller in the 1700 block of 7th Street reported a black cat stuck in the tree.

10:45 a.m.: A woman in the 1100 block of 3rd Street reported a man broke into her apartment and stole her new sweater.

11 a.m.: A man in the 2400 block of 15th Avenue reported his neighbor purposely put a trash can in front of his truck. The neighbor told him if it was moved, he would call the cops.

11:15 a.m.: A caller near U.S. 34 and Colo. 257 reported a man flashed his genitals at traffic in the area.

8:45 p.m.: A caller at a chain steakhouse in the 2400 block of 28th Street reported a drunk customer pointed a steak knife at an employee when asked to leave.

10 p.m.: A man in the 1700 block of 9th Avenue asked what to do with a bird he found sitting on his car. The man said the bird, which he suspected was a pet, landed on him, and he contained it in his car.

May 31

4:15 a.m.: A man in the 1400 block of 11th Avenue reported he thought his sister and her friends were using his credit cards and Social Security number.

9:45 a.m.: A caller in the 8200 block of 20th Street reported someone kept writing the number “68” on the rear window of the caller’s vehicle.

10. a.m.: A caller near U.S. 34 and 17th Avenue reported a man was urinating and fully exposing himself inside the walking tunnel.

5:45 p.m.: A caller near 11th Avenue and 26th Street reported a suspicious man wearing a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle mask. He was loitering around stores and carrying a baseball bat case.
